Our most popular wool rug our Jasper Knit now comes in 'Dune' - a blend of light grey, sand and beige woolen yarns.
The Jasper Knit is as luxurious as it looks, lovely underfoot and soft to touch. It will bring warmth, texture and interest to any room in your home.
Our chunky knit wool rugs are like a warm wooly jumper for your floor making a beautiful, elegant and welcoming statement.
Each piece of yarn in our Jasper is heavily felted and expertly woven together in a variety of different weave patterns. The wool is densely felted to ensure very minimal next to no pilling or fluffing.
The Jasper Knit rugis not recommended for thoroughfare areas due to the height of the pile.
We have used 60% New Zealand Wool with a bit of Viscose which is also a natural yarn for longevity and 20% cotton.
No anti slip mat required as the Jasper Rug is a heavy rug and has a backing applied to keep all the different weaves in place.
Why choose wool?
A wool rug is naturally fire retardant, dirt and liquid resistant and will last a lifetime. We believe wool is an investment in the long term.
Wool is a natural non-toxic sustainable product that will eventually break down unlike many other cheaper versions of rugs.
Any spills or dirt will bead up on top of the rug and can be dabbed or spot cleaned away.
At Ohh we believe that you can create a beautiful home with a rug that brings warmth and style that is easy to clean and maintain.
Our rugs are made in small batches to support our workers all year round and sell out very quickly each time they are released.

Made in India all our rugs are made with transparency, from the yarn making to the weaving to the final washing and cutting. We make all our rugs in small weaving runs in order to keep our weavers in work all year around.
Ohh is fully accredited with Goodweave International. An international body governing the carpet industry. No child or forced labour has been used in the making of this rug.
As a licensed brand of Goodweave you have the assurance that your rug has been ethically made and part funds are used to rescue and educate children found in the carpet industry.
Our cotton washable rugs can be washed in a domestic washing machine. Use cold setting and a delicate wash. Hang out to dry and vacuum as per normal to fluff up your rug. Make sure your machine is larger enough - space in the machine is required to give a good wash and not damage the fibres.
Larger cotton rugs may not fit in a domestic washing machine and can be taken to the laundromat or drycleaners.
Rug Sizes and Approximate Weights
Make sure your machine is large enough with space for your rug to move around.
Wash bath mats on their own as well.
120 x 180cm 3-4kgs - needs at least a 5-6kg machine
150 x 210cm -6-7kgs - needs at least a 9kg machine
200 x 300cm - 10-12kgs - needs at least a 15kg machine
VACUUMING THE WASHABLE RUGS
Be careful not to over vacuum thinking it will remove all the lint. Over vacuuming causes damage to the soft fibres. It is normal to experience some pilling initially but will settle. Vacuum only once a week and shake in between. Vacuuming more will not speed up the process.
They are a lightweight rug so vacuuming needs to be made in the same direction.
CLEANING YOUR WOOL RUG
Wool is naturally flame retardant and holds up well to daily wear and tear. Our rugs contain New Zealand wool giving it a soft and superior feel. Wool is naturally dirt and liquid repellant and is relatively easy to clean.
The cleaning of your rug:
Your rug will benefit from regular vacuuming and a shake to remove dust particles.
Your wool rug should not be used in wet areas.
If you happen to spill liquid we suggest you tap off the liquid as quickly as possible. Then using a damp cloth mop up any excess fluid in a dabbing motion. Soapy water can be used. Do not soak or rub violently but continue to dab until the stain is soaked up.
It is almost always best to engage the services of a professional carpet & upholstery cleaning company if the stain is stubborn or needs a thorough clean. To get a really expert job done entrust the work to a carpet cleaning company.
Tell your cleaner to use low water pressure and to clean on a non- porous surface in case of any colour leakage.

The beautiful soft swollen rug was purchased for a young girls room. It definitely has brought a stunning texture into the floor of the room, not to mention has warmed the floor tremendously being 100%wool. I bought 2 of the washable rugs. Both are absolutely beautiful.
They arrived just as my baby caught a gastro virus so can confirm they are easy to wash in a standard washing machine and dry just as soft as new.
They do shed a lot when you first bring them home, but a few good shake outs really help.
